SELLING YOUR GUNS TO OR THROUGH OLD TOWN STATION:

We want to buy guns!  I'm always looking for collector guns to buy outright or sell on consignment.  When I sell on consignment in our Dispatch mail order catalog, my commission is usually 25%, and it usually takes 2 months to a year to sell.  When I buy outright, I pay immediately.  We also can sell your guns at one of our higly successful  REGULARLY SCHEDULED LIVE GUN AUCTIONS.   We conduct firearms auctions as Kull & Supica every Spring & Fall.  We're glad to take your guns to auction on consignment, with rates never higher than 25% commission, and significantly less for large collections or very high value single pieces.  All auctions are fully cataloged for absentee buyers, with the entire catalog always posted at ArmsBid.com (Google ranked No. 1 for "Live Gun Auction"!)   Check out upcoming sales, and our great record of prices realized at ArmsBid.com

We offer THREE WAYS TO SELL YOUR GUNS:

• WE WILL BUY YOUR GUNS OUTRIGHT - This has the advantage of immediate payment for a known amount.  If you discuss your guns before sending them to us, with a price range that we agree to in mind, we will pay return shipping if we can't get together on a purchase price in that range (this only happens about 2% of the time).  If you don't know how much you want for your guns, you can still ship them to us for an evaluation & offer, but if we can't get together on price, we will ask you to pay return shipping.  We have earned a reputation as a TOP DOLLAR WHOLESALE BUYER among gun dealers.

• WE WILL SELL YOUR GUNS ON CONSIGNMENT - Using our popular mail order catalog, "the Old Town Station Dispatch", and this website.  This takes longer, but has the advantage of asking a set price for your guns without the risk of it going lower at auction.  You will generally net a bit more for your guns this way than if we buy outright.

• WE WILL SELL YOUR GUNS AT AUCTION on consignment.  This has the advantage of getting your guns sold by a date certain at a fair market value as determined by open bidding.  Sometimes, a gun will sell higher at auction than we would have thought to ask for it.  We conduct live gun auctions every Spring & Fall as Kull & Supica Firearms Auctions.  Our auctions are fully cataloged for absentee bidders, and nationally advertised, with the full catalog always posted at ArmsBid.com.

• COMBINE THE METHODS!  If you prefer, we can sometimes combine the methods.  For example, we could list your gun in the mail order catalog at a set price, and then after a year auction any remaining guns.

Frank talk about selling your guns yourself.  You can always sell your guns yourself.  IF you have the expertise to identify the guns and accurately grade their condition, AND you are correct in researching their values, AND you don't put a dollar value on the time you spend listing, photographing, advertising, talking to buyers, traveling to shows, packing & shipping, handling complaints & returns for refunds, etc., AND you understand firearms laws, AND you are willing to accept the security concerns involved in offering firearms for sale to the public out of your home, THEN you can probably do about as well or better selling them yourself as you could by selling them to us or having us sell them for you on consignment.  Heck, we'll even help you along the way by providing useful info on this site as to how to research the values & pack your guns for shipment. 

ON THE OTHER HAND, if you lack the expertise, or just don't want the hassle, why not sell them to us or let us sell them for you?  We have an excellent reputation for honesty, expertise, and performance.  Ask around.

HERE'S HOW TO SELL DIRECTLY TO US:

IF YOU KNOW HOW MUCH YOU WANT - If you know the make, model, and condition of your gun(s), along with about how much you want to get for them, email or fax me that information & I can tell you whether I think it's worth while to send them for my evaluation & offer.  (If I think your gun is worth more than you're asking, I will tell you so, and pay more than you asked, by the way.)   If you get my agreement as to possible value before shipping, I'll pay return shipping if we don't get together on price or agree to sell for you on consignment.

IF YOU DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH YOU WANT, email me a general description & I'll tell you whether I'm willing to take a look & make an offer.  If you don't know how much you want, and we don't get together on price, and you don't leave the gun with us to sell on consignment, I will ask you to pay return shipping (in continental U.S., $15 for handgun, $25 for longgun).  Modern guns will also have to come back to you via a licensed gun dealer, who will charge you a transfer fee to get your gun back.
