Enfield - Mk II - 1883 dated British service revolver - .476 cal. - 6" barrel. - Fine condition. - About 40% thin original dull finish, blended with patina gray metal; fine markings include "S" on upper rear left frame & "WD" & broad arrows for the War Dept., along with usual Brit proofs. Working; fairly good bore. One piece wood grips with usage dings and a chip from the front toe. An interesting design; tipping the barrel down pulls the cylinder forward, allowing selective extraction of empty cartridges in a manner similar to the Merwin Hulbert - . This model used during the height of the British Empire in India, NW Mounted Police, and other colorful locations. I got this gun from the same source as the other Stembridge Hollywood guns in this issue, and wondered if the S might be a Stembridge marking, but I don’t find this on listed in the catalog. - s/n9533 - antq - item #CU-ENFS - $2,500

Engraved Forehand & Wadsworth - Old Model Army Revolver - .44 Russian; 7.5" barrel. - Good condition. - Light patina metal, probably cleaned long ago. Sparse period scroll engraving has been lightened a bit, but still remains distinct on left side frame, between cylinder flutes, top strap, & grip backstrap. Working; bore might clean to fairly good. Very good 2 pc smooth wood grips, numbered to gun, with slight loss to right toe. - This is one of the most scarce of the early Old West era large frame single action revolvers, with Flayderman’s estimating fewer than 1,000 made in the mid-1870’s. Period engraved specimens are very rare. - s/n 661 - antq - item #CF-CDY - $3,500

Scarce Remington - Model 1890 Single Action Army revolver - .44-40 (.44 WCF); 5.75” barrel. - Mixed condition; about fine. - Barrel, frame, t.grd. & ejctr.hsg. retain about 70% of original nickel with many nicks, dings & scratches.  Fine REMINGTON ARMS CO. ILION NY barrel address.  Cylinder & loading gate have been polished to light gray metal, with some areas of light pitting.  Good mech; a bit worse than usual bore.  Correct pattern grips are probably repro replacements. - s/n 274 - antq - item #CR-274 - $2,950

Remington Single Action Army Revolver - in Model 1890 configuration. - .44 cf (both .44-40 & .44 Rem will go into the chambers); 7.5” barrel. - Probably modified; fine plus condition. - Much original nickel, frame 95%, barrel 60-70%, cylinder 35% w/ some dings; with some roughness where plating is gone.  Good barrel marking with “..& SONS” suggests this is a Model 1875.  Lack of wedge on ejctr.hsg. is typical of the rare Model 1890, and it's not uncommon to find 1875's with the wedge ground down to simulate the rare 1890 configuration.  However, the ejctr.hsg. on this gun matches the rest of the gun about perfectly in condition, including significant nickel plating in the area that would have been ground down if this had been modified.  -  Remington SAA's are found in a variety of configs from when SHG used up spare parts.  FWIW, no assembly marks on barrel or ejctr.hsg. under the housing, as would be round on the Model 1888.  That's what you got, make up the story that most pleases you for this gun.  -  Working; fair bore.  1890 pattern grips are nearly certainly modern reproductions. - s/n 34 - antq - item #CR-34 - $2,650

Merwin Hulbert - Open top scoop flute single action - 2nd Model revolver. - Calibre Winchester 1873 (.44-40); 7" barrel. - Good condition. - Maybe 20-30% original nickel; balance medium to light gray with spotting & some areas of roughness; good markings. Working, except collar on barrel that draws the cylinder forward when the gun is open is gone. Very good smooth two piece wood grips may be replaced. - Colorful 1870’s revolver, these have a reputation for exceptional machining & workmanship, with an unusual twist-open design. - s/n 11088 - antq - item #CM-1089 - $2,350

Moores 7 Shooter - single action revolver - .32 rimfire; 4" oct. barrel. - Very good condition - Nice patina brass frame w/ 10-20% original silver, mostly on triggerguard, fine New York style floral scroll engraving is intact and distinct. Barrel & cylinder dark patina with area of pitting on left side of barrel. Working but loose. One piece wood grips are intact with usage marks. - s/n 3440 - antq - item #CN-3440 - $1,250

Remington - Model 1875 Single Action Army Revolver - Type 1 - .44 cf (.44-40 will chamber, .44 Rem. won't); 7.5” barrel. - Fair condition - “Quick glance” overall appearance is not bad, looks as if it retains most nickel finish.  Closer inspection shows it to be a mix of period renickel & polished bright metal, with some shallow dings or heavy over-polish spots on the left side of barrel & backstrap.  Some scattered pepper spots.  Legible barrel address.  Ejector & wedge housing may be replacements. - Functioning after a fashion, but binds badly during cocking stroke.  Otherwise usual bore has a ring 2” from muzzle, which is not obvious on the exterior, but can be easily felt as a bulge by running your fingers along the barrel.  Poorly fit replaced 2 piece wood grips. - s/n 781 - antq - item #CR-781 - $1,750

Early British cartridge revolver - attributed as Webley - .38 rimfire; 4.75” barrel - Condition is about fine to excellent. - Crisp metal; barrel retains 95% bright blue; cylinder & frame soft gray; tiny Brit proofs; left side of frame marked London / No. 64452.  Working, but hammer external hammer block safety tends to engage unintentionally.  Very good checkered two piece grips.  Ejector lever is intact, but missing ejector rod. - Barrel with topstrap is attached to frame with a wedge, (like Colt percussion pistols). - s/n 64452 - antq - item #CU-4452 - $1,250

Ornately engraved Lefaucheux / Francotte pinfire revolver - 11mm pinfire; 6” oct. barrel. - Good condition. - Gray metal, worn & with light roughness, but with chunky almost etched looking scroll engraving quite distinct.  Top of barrel marked in large ornate letters “A Francotte Brevete”, with “LEFAUCHEUX BREVETE” stamped in small block letters on the left rear barrel.  Working in single action mode only.  Heavily worn but mostly sound wood grips, with checkering about worn off. - antq - item #CX-47053 - $750

Belgian DA bulldog pattern revolver - .44 cal.; 4" oct. barrel. - About fine condition. - Most original nickel remains, blending well w/ light metal where plating is gone, with light pepper spotting. Star over X & ELG over star proofs; no other markings. A .44 Russian cartridge seems to chamber well, but this should be checked out by a gunsmith if you intend to try to fire this. Good mech & bore. Fine checkered 2 pc. wood grips. - antq - item #CU-ELG - $650

Ornately engraved Lefaucheux / Francotte pinfire revolver - 11mm pinfire; 6" oct. barrel. - Good condition. - Gray metal, worn & with light roughness, but with chunky almost etched looking scroll engraving quite distinct. Top of barrel marked in large ornate letters "A Francotte Brevete", with "LEFAUCHEUX BREVETE" stamped in small block letters on the left rear barrel. Working in single action mode only. Heavily worn but mostly sound wood grips, with checkering about worn off. - antq - item #CX-47053 - $750

E. Lefaucheux Brevete pinfire revolver - converted to .44 Henry rimfire - "Confederatey" looking. - 6.25" octagon breech round barrel - Good condition. - Blue has dulled & turned to dark patina; small area of light pitting on left side of frame. Converted to .44 rimfire with a fill in the recoil shield & frame mounted firing pin. Working but could use tuning. Replaced 2 piece wood grips. Marked "E. LEFAUCHEUX / III r BREVETE" on the left barrel flat, with crown L, crown U & ELG over star proofs in various locations. - Ok, yeah, of course I scoff when someone else says "possible Confederate", and yet I continue to find it quite insightful when I say it. Yes, this is a cry for help. Nonetheless, this gun is in the configuration of most Civil War used pinfires, and the adaptation does have that old Rebel-spirit fix-er-up & make-er-fit feel to it (as pointed out to me by a very knowledgeable authority, who then proceeded to sell it to me). Impressionable much? Moi? Whatever else it may or may not be, I do think it’s a very neat old conversion. - s/n 34963 - antq - item #CX-4963 - $950

Lefaucheux Brevete - Liege single action pinfire/centerfire revolver - Model 1854 pattern - 11mm (approx. .44 cal.); 6.25" oct. breech round barrel. - Very good condition. - Mottled light gray metal; light pinpoint roughness on cylinder; left rear barrel marked "E. LEFAUCHEUX / IIIr BREVETE"; Belgian proofs. Working, hand sometimes does not engage cyl.; no loading gate spring; missing ejector. Dinged smooth wood grips. - This one has the quite unusual feature of a firing pin on the hammer with accommodating hole in frame to allow firing of either pinfire or centerfire cartridges. - s/n 35946 - antq - item #CX-35916 - $650
